Denise Stewart brings her everyday absurdism to the stage in a new stand-up show, NIGHTCLEANING. From basement discoveries and deviant midnight meditations on minimalism to an epic battle with a groundhog, get ready for some lemon-scented fun.
BIO
Denise Stewart is a playwright/actor/director/coach. Denise toured her one-woman show, Dirty Barbie and other girlhood tales at such venues as Assembly Hall at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, 59E59 in New York, The Corner Store in DC, and the Diana Wortham Theatre in Asheville. Professional acting credits include: Pride and Prejudice, Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, Shear Madness, The Odd Couple, Almost, Maine (Heritage Theatre Festival). Her tv pilot script, “Adjuncts”, was a finalist for the 2017 Virginia Film Award, and her new full-length play, The Crosswalk, was recently workshopped at the Kenyon Playwrights Conference.
